About ResuméTalks.orgResuméTalks.org is the product of Revitalizing Michigan incubator sessions geared on putting people back to work. Striving to do our part for Michigans economy, we thought about a new technology where resumés could literally speak. We talked about an improved hiring process where recruiters could pick up a resume, touch a button, and hear the actual voice of the candidate.

With a CEO who has chaired over 5,000 cross-functional corporate meetings where opposing objectives was the norm, and one who also built large corporate organizations, interviewing then hiring over a hundred employees, Revitalizing Michigan knew they had a solid foundation to produce what is now ResuméTalks.org.

Greg Bernabei tells us, During two separate assignments at Ford, I needed to hire a lot of talented people, in a short amount of time. The most important factor in the selection process was the candidates ability to communicate. I see it on resumes all the time, "...I have good communication skills. ResumTalks.org provides candidates the opportunity to demonstrate that popular statement, while placing recruiters a mere click away from deciding which resumes, speak best for the jobs they are looking to fill.

In our first year of operation, Revitalizing Michigan has applied for two federal grants: one to provide the Department of Transportation with public input on public transportation, and the other to provide the Department of Energy with an innovative way to capture, sequester, then convert, carbon dioxide into biodiesel fuel. We actively participate in alternative energy projects which thus far have included bidding on local windmill projects, researching how to extend miles per charge of battery electric vehicles, training Michigans emerging work force, and designing new vehicle body systems. We create CAD data and prototype designs for entrepreneurs with innovative product ideas and offer those interested in publishing new books, an opportunity to achieve that vision.

The core of all our work is stimulating the economy and the common thread of our five business sectors is putting the unemployed and underemployed back to a fully engaged level of work. ResumTalks.org is created to streamline job seekers with employers, empowering job seekers with a tool to broadcast their job seeking intent, while offering recruiting professionals the advantage of hearing candidates speak, as a natural part of reviewing resumes.

Recognizing our professional limitations for creating the worlds best audio/video resume website, we knew we needed to bolster our team. Through Mr. Pizzos contact base, we have been fortunate to connect with two brilliant young men, and adding another young database professional whose last name happens to be the same as the founder of Microsoft, these three have become the cornerstone for creating the website product you see before you now.

Our hope is that with your assistance, ResumTalks.org becomes a major enabler for more efficiently and effectively bringing together job seekers and employers. It is one of the ways Revitalizing Michigan is doing its part to rejuvenate commerce.

Meet the Team at ResuméTalks.org

Greg Bernabei (Chief Executive Officer)

Mr. Bernabei has lived a storied career in the automotive industry culminating nearly twenty years with Ford Motor Company as Engineering Manager in the clay development studios. Always demonstrating a flair for entrepreneurialism, Greg has led two major start-up groups within the blue oval, building one of them, the Vehicle Personalization Engineering team, from one person (he was the lone engineer at startup), to seventy people.

Greg has authored and published two books: Changing Lanes: An Automotive Mystery (December 2007) and, Changing Times: Transform your life in 4 easy steps using the Triangle of Change (April 2009). The novel and the nonfiction share the premise of learning how to improve and resolve through proactive change management. Greg founded in March 2007, the Enterprise for Mobile Media Authors (EMMA Publications), to publish his books, and since then has also published other author’s books.

Greg teaches through his latest publication, how to use change as an ally. Using proven techniques based on his Triangle of Change, Mr. Bernabei works with businesses, teams, and individuals, to attain challenging goals by looking closely at products, people, processes, and performance / technologies.

Born and raised Downriver Detroit, Greg began working paper routes at twelve, pumping gas at fourteen, turning lathes at sixteen, and stamping truck body panels at eighteen. He’s punched in on all shifts – days, afternoons, and midnights, and in all kinds of areas – at the footings of the Ambassador Bridge, on a desolate corner at Metropolitan airport, in high-tech software and virtual reality computer labs, and as of late, in some really posh corporate offices. He’s earned a Bachelor degree in Physics and Mathematics from Albion College, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Industrial & Operational Engineering from Wayne State University.

Mr. Bernabei started Revitalizing Michigan in March 2009 to share his experiences in change management and his successes in entrepreneurship, to improve our nation’s critical commerce. Through five entrepreneurial business sectors, “Rev Michigan” publishes new authors, does research and product development for the government, universities, and small businesses, processes donations, pursues broadcast agencies and media production, and leads business development through commerce and trade consortiums. “We believe that Michigan’s legacy strengths in engineering and manufacturing is the key to our nation’s economic turnaround.” Revitalizing Michigan’s five interdependent business sectors work to commercialize new product believing that the Model T of the 21st century is on some entrepreneurs mind. “We elevate innovative concepts and using good ole’ fashion Yankee ingenuity, get them onto the design board, into the engineering lab, and rolling down the assembly line.”
